This one is for our teachers. To encourage the inner quality Honour you could introduce your students to the word Namaste. Namaste is a sankrit word (pronounced nah-mah-stay) that means honour to you. It is an everyday greeting in India and is often used at the end of yoga class or relaxation. There are various translations on this phrase. Here is one I say with the children: I honour the place inside you that is love, light, truth and peace The light in me sees the light in you We are all one Namaste Or you could use a postitive affirmation, such as: I see the best in everyone and treat them with respect. A fantastic book I have found to introduce this concept of we are all one is - All I See Is Part of Me. |
